By the way, the wedge shaped air cleaner box that will take a round filter on the back, like the one made by K&N, was a factory option. The 1962 Plus 4 that I owned had one and it was noted on the factory build sheet as an included option for my car. Mine got tossed before I bought the car and I was able to get a new one at the factory when I toured the facility. Two problems with that filter which is probably why it was tossed. First, the front SU gets a little starved for air and has to be adjusted accordingly and second, it still rubbed on the bonnet. I kept the filter but put two small patches on it that would slide on the hood so as not to damage the paint. Oh, no \"side lights\" on top of the wings. Looks sort of naked without them. \r\nThere have been modifications, including the installation of tube rear dampers, in place of the lever units that came from the factory. This would be a good mod, btw. \r\nSagging doors are normal and can be fixed with some longer screws and some metal behind the wood, or threaded inserts or the scuttle hoop that stiffens the frame somewhat, and gives the door hinges some steel to attach to (with longer screws). \r\nI am guessing that the temp gauge is not working, as there is another attached under the panel. The sending units for the original can be hard to find if you don't know the right part number. If you call Caerbont, the manufacturer of Smiths gauges, they can help you find the right one, and get rid of accessory. I had one of those gauges on my Morgan, which was actually not accurate. I found the correct (and told unavailable) sender and re activated my cluster gauge. It's accurate, and I can see it, and I don't have to have some miss matched thing hanging under the dash. Funny but when I changed back to the original gauge, the car didn't \"over heat\" any more. \r\nThere are few cars as simple as a Morgan, or as much fun to drive and own. This one will need a little TLC, but nothing that looks so complex that it can't be handled in the owner's garage. The total parts count is low for a car, so little complexity to deal with. Even the wiring is simple enough for an owner to rewire the car as a first project. I don't care what is said, if you go down a bumpy road those wings are going to bounce and move around and eventually cause some damage.
