The car could have sold multiple times at SEMA this year, but we needed the car with us to work on some electronic tweaks.\r\n \r\nRenner 8 serial 00, was the test bed to so many things in our companyand its 4,000 miles since full build have made it the grandfather to not only our next 3 Renner 8s being build but also our Renner 3 and 5 series.\r\n \r\nRenner8 \u201c00\u201d has seen multiple engine tunes, suspension setups, gearbox and diff setups, three types of wheel manufacturers, tire choices, three different exhaust systems etc. The only thing that was kept from the first time it was finished was the paint and the interior. Even though it has 4,000 miles, the reality is that most current components have less than 500 miles on them.\r\n \r\nAlthough a prototype for suppliers and tests, we decided to build it as a fully functioning final car. In other words, everything on this car works as it does in one of our current builds. The car has been brought up to latest spec on all components.\r\n \r\nThe setup has several key variables in mind and has been developed together with people from the F1 world, as a matter of fact, three cars were ordered by an ex F1 boss. The suspension is more controlled than on a 850 CSI but retains a lot of compliance for the full GT experience. The gearbox is smooth and has positive engagement without being too racy. The engine and all ancillaries such as the exhaust have been worked on through a number of iterations to make sure that you know this is a M V8, but always GT like smooth.\r\n \r\nIn any case we are proud to be bringing this car to the BAT community. Current waiting time on a Renner 8 is around 18 months and this is essentially a well tested \u201cnew\u201d Renner 8 available immediately as chassis \u201c00\u201d.\r\n \r\nSmall blemishes such as a tiny mark on the bumper or two rubber strips that needed replacing were already taken care of. The donor 2002 BMW E39 M5 was acquired by Renner Projekts with 120k miles we did purchase a full driving car to make sure anything needed for the build it was available on the powertrain side.The engine went through a full overhaul including vanos rebuild, timing chains, timing chains guides , timing chain tensioners all gaskets, new water pump and cooling components, new rod bearings, new plugs and coils and more. Also we did fitted a LSD differential from a 1994 BMW E34 M5 ratio 3:73 proper for good low end and high end. The cluster was replace indeed due to the fact of the cosmetic condition we decided to use an 840ci cluster that we restore and was a better presentation. Hope this answers a lot of questions .
