As Valencia Gold was not an \u201883 option, the hood was painted to match. Nothing wrong with this swap in SQ World. \n\nThe steering wheel is the factory \u201887 twin spoke while an \u201889 is four spoke. The peeling aluminized plastic stereo control overlay can be repaired at a reasonable cost. Likewise, the sticky power antenna is a straightforward repair of the toothed gearing mechanism. \n\nThe washer fluid reservoir is replaceable while the level sensor is probably corroded. Repair is a bit of work but worthwhile as a way to extinguish the dash light. \n\nWheels are interesting in that the boxed logo indicates SHP, meaning the standard non-SHP (\u201888 and \u201889 only) staggered 7\u201d fronts were swapped for SHP 8\u201d fronts while the 8\u201d rear standards were kept to have the same size at each corner. All four appear to wear 225 wide rubber, not 205 as noted. \n\nIn all, this car has the right mileage to serve as a preserved example while allowing it to be driven as Mitsubishi intended. Seats are in good shape, the \u201887 was the last year of the earlier glitzy interior appointments and the stance is great.
