It has been with my client for about 5 years driven sparingly and taken to local car shows/meets and has always been garaged kept under his ownership. This AMX belonged to and was restored by Hot Rod Hall of Fame Member Bud Millard in ~2010/2011 and was subsequently put on display for 2 years at the California Automobile Museum before being acquired by my client in 2015. Runs and drives excellent. Starts right up and idles with no issues. The Frost white paint has a mirror like finish and is in excellent condition as well as the interior. The body panels are extremely straight and are very solid while being rust and bondo free. The 14\u201d Magnum 500 wheels are wrapped in Redline BF Goodrich P225/70R14 tires with 10/32nds of tread on them. Walk around and driving videos coming soon. Redline on AMC's was always around 5,000 RPM, and the factory motors concentrated on Torque, which is why it only took a few Hp mods to really wake them up. Street heros with AMX spent a few $hundred on Headers & high rise intake manifold. '70 got dog leg heads and the 340 Hp Rebel Machine also got a factory cast Iron high rise dual plane Intake manifold. \n\nThe '68/'69 had king pin front suspension, the '70 had ball joint suspension. Let us back track to the trunnions: perhaps the biggest problem is they interfere with using a wide wheel & tire. Many AMX owners use wheel spacers and/or wheels with special offset. This car was for sale a few years back and apart from the wing, is clearly an AMX that will make many envious..... The machinist i have used showed the cam bearings for a BBC. The oil holes were tiny compared to AMC cam bearings. We agreed that AMC V8s probably do not need anymore oil to the cam than a BBC.
