The 260 V8 was optional on other Falcons that year, but the Sprint package added some extra flair (if no extra horsepower). FYI a 1969 Studebaker Lark 15 inch wheel will bolt onto the Falcon... My Dad had a Red Lark for a 2nd car... Also my friend used a jigsaw and cut out a hood scoop.. Just unbolt the 2 nuts and cut inside the holes.. This way you can bolt back on the chrome fake air vent.... I never had any mechanical issues... I changed the oil with Mobil Special 10W-30... FYI i beat a friends 1967 Mustang 289 2-V on a dark 2 lane blacktop upteen years ago... I am age 73 and had it about 2+ years.. Traded it in MAY of 1968 for a 1967 GTO... Anyway this was a durable car,, great exhaust and YES I had a white bobbing DOG in the rear deck which was hooked up to the brake light...
