Believe it or not, Tire Rack offered the Pirelli CN36s that I wanted but were out of stock so I had to get them from Lucas Tire in California. Only about $10 more than TR to my surprise. The 16s on the Dino made the car very jittery (not in a good way) and pull toward every crack and crown variance in the road. Even 45 years after it hit the road, it still drives like a proper sports car. \r\n\r\nI also have a couple of E30 BMWs that you maybe had 2 choices 5 years ago for the equally oddball 195/65/14 factory size (and neither in a decent non Korean brand). Now that those cars in non M3 form are also coming in to their own, you have a decent field to choose from. \r\n\r\nAlso happy to see that Vredestein has started recently making both of those sizes as well as the long forgotten Alfa Size of 185/70/14 which both Spiders and GTVs wear. Initially I had to take it to a Ferrari mechanic who would detune it to pass smog tests, then go back to him to tune it back (richer as I recall) and remove the belts on the smog pumps (2, one you can see in the pic to the left and the other hidden on the passenger side). After a couple years of that someone recommended a smog place that charged $100 to fill out the paperwork without testing my car. That worked until I moved up the Palo Alto and had to go back to the detune/retune process, which cost a lot more than $100. I regret selling it. It's a true sports car with 4 Weber's. Btw, with a significant air intake directly into the air filter, you get lots of positive pressure at speeds over 60. At 80 you have a supercharger.
