This truck and there is nothing to verify this could be a one-off or early start despite the VIN #. When referring to mostly original, this is NOT a points truck if that is a concern. The reserve takes in to consideration that the running boards are not covered with the Shrock running board covers. Believe this was pointed out in my other videos but human error being what it is, in redoing videos and it was an oversight but anyone can easily see that the boards and truck bed as covered looks well for the age and does not detract from the fact that in essence this is 90% complete in look, form, function. Through the years, much like motorcycles, even in the 30's, retrofit was being done by those wanting a different look to include trim pieces. A 1937 was being revealed as a 1938 and a 1938 as a 1937 in sales info by the auctioneer and I pointed it out to them but was never changed. Then, a rust bucket 1937 sold for $30k before the buyers premium of at least 10%. \r\n\r\nI am not surprised that the truck didn't hit the low reserve...much lower than any other Coupe Express truck made available in years.
