My sincere apologies to those who require or would like that in their part of the world. To share some history of the car and myself, It was frankly not a concern for me because I grew up and live in south Florida, I am a car guy that was born with one of these and now both my kids from birth ride around in a LC200 because it is now a tradition I want to keep going. This is my 4th nut and bolt FJ43 I've completed. All same team and of this quality. Have done them with a snorkel, ac, heater, rear seat belts, winches, soft and hard top. They were all well received and quickly went to great homes...at the same\u00a0time they all had some critic\u00a0about\u00a0the snorkel as well as a roof rack one had and so on, we all have heard the old saying , you cant\u00a0please everyone all the time. Please keep in mind I made this truck for myself without really having anyone in mind and although a dealer also without any thoughts of selling it. But at the time i did not know how two boys under 3 years old will change your plans.\u00a0\r\n\r\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 I can describe myself as a purist with a twist. When i decided to do one for myself it had to be the vintage look of the FJ's, I love Fashion green for the FJ's , as well as Beryl green for vintage VW's and when I was informed by a family member that a 1 owner never crashed, molested or modified Land Cruiser FJ43 existed for sale and was also not for ridiculous money, because they are asking crazy money for these in Colombia, they know these are great trucks too. But lots of garbage is now getting restored. Good or bad they are out there. I only restore great examples. Its too much hard work restoring and a nightmare when its rusted out, bent chassis and so on. I decided to enjoy Bogota and see about this FJ. As pictured before the restoration it was solid and cleaned up could have brought good money but i had other plans for it as you now can see. This FJ had only received one paint job which was good but not to my standard, but it had no bondo, accidents, nor alterations. never even a radio cut out on the dash as many have. It had everything original like body panels, lights, well everything except paint. Yes it is not as fast as an 1984\u00a0but I personally like it better cause of styling, does not bother me one bit as I am never in a hurry when driving it, the difference is also not much in my opinion, I've had 77, 82, 84 and this 1971. As for as speed goes, this one parked wins over many examples out there going really fast LOL, just joking.. It drives smooth and like a tank down the highway at 65MPH and enough for me. I love This Rig and it is everything I in-visioned\u00a0for myself as a TOY. Personally, I like and enjoy the simplicity as well as the radical feeling. For comfort i have my LC200. There is also another way to look at it and the thought\u00a0did cross my mind... That is to throw a Vortec v8 and a 6 Speed manual transmission, along with custom leather Interior, AC , Heater and drive this thing everyday... Which FJ company and Icon are doing for $200k or so?? The idea came to me from a client who bought my Blue FJ43 in 2012 on ebay which lived in California and had a smog issue with the truck.. He quickly decided to take it to ICON and install a v8 with them now getting a very cool high quality modern daily driver for lots less than their versions. This is a real FJ43 without the funky wheel base. You can see my blue FJ43 at ICON once it got the motor installed on Youtube. Its all how far you would like to go in the classic world $$... But as a purist and for what I wanted at this point in my life this truck is exactly what i have always wanted. Rare original FJ43 body, Rare Fashion green original color, and Rare barn door hard top\u00a0made for them from that period. This was the nicest and most sought after hard top for these, there were some not that nice at all and the reason why most of them are soft top now because i can tell you that most of these lived as hard tops all their lives. I have always liked the saying,\u00a0 ( You wont\u00a0pass yourself on the road very easily. ) Believe this is the case here and worked hard to source, import, and restore for that reason.\r\n\u00a0 \u00a0 Happy to assist the buyer in personalizing if they wish. We can add Ac, Heater, Defrost, rear seat belts, a snorkel, a winch, disc brakes, and power steering if they like. I made this rig with my long time friend and was truly needed therapy and a labor of love, Happy to add anything you may want and of coarse at the buyers expense. Anything you add to this land cruiser believe you can get back including a motor swap. Myself and the main person responsible for restoring this FJ has art in their hands and the\u00a0main restorer is a 60 year old with 42 years of hands on experience. He is slow and thorough as i am myself. He and I have restored many high dollar classics, even replaced and molded carbon fenders on a Ferrari Enzo. Not for beginners. Please pay close attention to the fit and finish which to achieve requires disassembly, stripping of\u00a0everything, assembly then body work, then again disassembly then paint disassembled then again final assembly with everything pre-fitted and painted. To do it right and accomplish this quality it takes that and much more as\u00a0shown in photo\u00a0gallery. Lots of restorers do not even know this fact and the ones that do simply dont\u00a0do it because its not easy, not cheap, nor fast. They all shine in photos.\u00a0 But lots of stars, experience, time not to mention money had to align for this FJ43 to be offered here for sale today. Only 3M three step detail products used to finish. It has a Wow effect that makes people freeze in person and drivers snap their necks to take a second look. PS, i have a little PPG touch up paint left that goes with the vehicle. Trying to do a video but it rained here already and a bit cloudy now.
