It's missing one the most distinctive elements of the Samurai JX model, the JX would have stripes on the sides of the body and doors. It was repainted, but why did they paint over the right side emblem but not the left side emblem? The bumper corners are usually flat black and not painted the same as the body. The chrome rear bumper was a dealer option (stock was black), but it's very odd that a buyer would get the chrome rear bumper and not get the chrome front bumper too. The gear shift knob is not a Samurai original. That side emblem is an entirely different color than the rest of the vehicle. It is not the same black at all and was probably just a replacement for the original that was damaged or fell off prior to me getting the vehicle. It was not just sprayed over with the same color. I understand that the graphics may be an indicator of a repaint as well as your point on the front bumper, but there is no other indication to me that it has been repainted. \r\n\r\nIt was listed as true mileage unknown for a reason. If you follow the carfax mileage the first discrepancy at 82,085 on 04/07/2006 is likely an incorrect input due to it only having 5 digits versus a replacement odometer and the previous one was 150,474 on 07/19/2002. The next point on 06/21/2007 where it reads 7,805 possibly was a replacement as 25k miles in a little over a year is very high, but not impossible. After that, all the remaining points make sense except for the discrepancy on 05/14/2012 where it looks like an extra 8 was added. It makes sense that the mileage would go from 16,300 on 11/03/2010 to 28,190 on 05/14/2012 and then 29,908 on 07/09/2012. I\u2019m not going to flag your comment as not constructive, but would appreciate questions I can answer rather than pure speculation that can be reasoned through looking at the carfax. \r\n\r\nAnyone is welcome to come view it in person and test drive it. I\u2019m vaccinated and had asymptomatic covid over a year ago so I have no concerns related to any spread.\r\n\r\nAs far as the graphics and the bumpers go I can\u2019t speak to if the were on the vehicle originally or not. The rocker panels were flat black from the factory, as were the trim pieces located near the bottom of the targa(?), and the end caps on the bumpers. These parts should not have the same color and shine as the body. Someone mentioned the mirrors. These mirrors were a dealer option and appear on many Samurai's. The Samurai's left Japan in only 2 configurations 1986-1988, the JA or the JX and the only differences between the two models was the JX had a tach, clock, and stripes. Later JX models would get a slightly upgraded interior with nicer seats and door panels.
