With modern gas pump nozzles, filling this car from the side nozzle takes a measure of patience and it's very slow going, otherwise the nozzle cuts off and it's also easy to overfill it, resulting in spills down the side of the car. The Koogleworks filler in the trunk bypasses the bend of the original filler tube (side of car) and allows you to fill the tank with modern gas pumps without a mess or a delay. It was installed professionally and there is no welding, etc involved. We left the original cap and hole on the side of the car to keep it as original as possible, but it is disconnected and serves no function, other than aesthetics now. You can undo all this an re-install the original tube to the side of the car easily if you'd prefer.
