It's in okay shape. The driver and passenger seal nice, the back has a few leaks in rain. Pinzgauer-Tec is selling new tops though as well as the factory. I replaced one leaking axle under ownership, but it looks like others were replaced by the military as indicated by the presence of bolted-style axle boots. It has a recently rebuilt distributor shaft with a Pertronix civilian ignition. I bypassed the rev limiter box and fitted a mechanical rev limiter (built in to the rotor like an old VW) with a new coil. RPM box, breaker points ignition, and all military components were all saved. Timing is DEAD perfect, no bouncing around, advances just like it should. I daily drove it for about 3 months when a friend of mine wrecked his car, it cruised great, coworkers loved riding to lunch in it. Fuel economy was a 'reasonable' 12MPG.\r\n\r\nI initially insured with Progressive with no mileage restrictions and then switched to Hagerty.
