Upon catalytic converters being reinstalled, the chip would not necessarily need to be changed, as the OBD1 M60b40 installed does not have post CAT o2 sensors as an OBD2 engine does, so it does not effect the air/fuel/timing maps. I will do my best to get a video of it running up (I am less than BaT savvy at this point so I will need to email the curator of my ad and see if and how to make that possible!)\n\nThe suspension was built purposed for this car. It was built in house at Ground Control, not by an unaffiliated shop, and features their Custom Valved Koni Dampers at all four corners, sporty but comfortable rates (purposed for a middle aged father and his wife to take weekend cruises), and their sport camber plates and rear mounts. HP will be right at about 300-305 with the DUDM. Mid range torque is also much improved and will be at about 310-315 ft lbs but especially noticeable right in the lower power band where the highway MPGs are at their best. I have an E32(and for that matter an E34 with this 6 speed, a great combo) with the motor and chip and seriously get 25mpg EASILY loafing along at 70-75mph. The sounds that motor makes..Oh the sounds. Even with an open pipe they are not too loud until the revs run up, and then the nice heads of the original M60 are nice and breathable. This motor loves to rev. No VANOS or chain guides to ever worry about, just a pretty bulletproof engine. I am pretty sure this thing would be the best of all worlds with this exhaust setup. Those fluted exhaust tips are a really nice touch too. \n\nI love the M60 and with a 6 speed it's going to get great mileage yet be flexible and fun and smooth. They are a great pairing. GC is as good as it gets for a coilover setup..sheesh. \n\nGreat coupe you could drive with no worries or guilt! In actuality, the nikasil is a brilliant design, save for the unfortunate sometimes high sulfer US gas in the early to mid 90s..\n\nI have a buddies M60 original nikasil 540i block laying on a tire on my shop floor and it is amazing, after 281K miles, that there is absolutely NO depression ring at the top of the cylinder walls. There are still the original hash marks on the walls, evenly distributed, too..Yes 281,000 miles. And he drove that 540 hard for the last 150k miles and it sounded terrific.
