Everything else got some variation of the \"diving board\" front bumpers protruding out quite a bit. The BMW 2002 and the Datsun Z were two examples of cars that had their looks radically changed by the new law. \n\nIf you see a 260 or 280Z with smaller bumpers, it was either \"backdated\" with earlier year versions, or perhaps was imported from another country. It\u2019s difficult to completely prevent Z cars from all rust if the car is driven in the rust belt, even with heavy black undercoat like this car has. It\u2019s good that the floor pans and stiffeners were replaced, but there are areas of rust around the fenders that will need to be addressed if the rust is to be stopped from spreading. There are patch panels that are available for most of the areas that need them. \n \nThere are a lot of photos of the rear underside but only a couple of the front half of the car, and I would want to see more of that area before deciding about the car. The battery tray area looks pretty good, and the single small area of frame rail shown just below the battery tray looks good, but there are no photos of the rest of the frame rails, so we can\u2019t tell what shape they are in. The fenders are the only rust areas that I didn\u2019t get to finish from my to do list. If I were to fix the rust I would do it right and repaint the entire car, too. But the car chassis front to back is 100% rust free, I mean there\u2019s no rust in the front frame rail. If there was I would have fixed it when I replaced the floor pan and rails. You\u2019re right though I should have added more pictures of the front underside part of the car. I have added a few pictures that I had on hand but I will add more soon.
