Bidders should read these older entries which included lots of useful info on the car, also the seller to make sure they have all the answers. On the back of these learnings, and a lot also based on my own experience with my Z8, I have compiled a list of the key topics normally addressed on this forum. I hope these can be as helpful to you as they have been to me.\n\n- no LSD: Z8s never had this originally, only aftermarket.\n- performance package, near unanimous agreement from BMW/dealers/Z8 Club/owners that this is needed or at least make sure you have confirmation from a BMW dealer re struts integrity. Issues are rare but when occurring can be lethal.\n- rear view mirror, is it clear or have any discoloration.\n- dash leather, any shrinkage or deterioration.\n- seat back covers, easy to damage and when these get unstuck they need replacing.\n- tail lights and indicators.\n- vibrating side indicator mountings are difficult to fix and normally need replacing.\n- headlight fogging, very common issue. Apparently impossible to fix, need replacing.\n- tires, everyone seems to hate the original run-flats, now way too old anyway. My personal opinion is to change these ASAP for good Michelins but others disagree and prefer the convenience of run-flats as say modern ones are better anyway (less harsh and hard, more precise then they used to be originally).\n- internal handle cups get scratched with rings and similar. Can be replaced, at a cost.\n- hard top condition, lining and paint chips.\n- radio heads often faulty.\n- roof cables (hidden) might need to be replaced. With regard to our wimpy test drive video: I had asked our staff to be extremely gentle with the car since AudiHampton is not it\u2019s \u201cforever home\u201d so I apologize for not driving it the way it was intended in the video. If there is a lot of interest in such a video then I could always have one made post-haste. You mentioned revs, some speed, some turns with the sport mode engaged\u2026 anything else think a good demonstration video should contain?\r\n\r\nWith regard to your checklist:\r\n-Rear view mirror does show some discoloration.\r\n-Dash leather does not show any shrinking or deterioration.\r\n-Seat back covers in good condition. No sagging here!\r\n-Tail lights are in excellent working condition. @pat.bmw commented that it appears that one was not on but I believe this is a characteristic of the photograph. In several of the photos in the showroom we have only the street parking lights turned on.\r\n-No vibration is present during drive from side-indicator mountings or elsewhere.\r\n-There is no fogging in the headlamps. Replacement set (original factory) is included with the car for whenever they do need to be replaced.\r\n-Car does not have the original run-flats on it. Currently has Michelin Sport Cup tires.\r\n-Internal handle cups look great. No scratches.\r\n-Hard top is in pristine condition. So far as we know the previous owner only drove it with the top down or soft top.\r\n-Radio heads in excellent working condition.\r\n-Soft top and roof cables are in reasonable working condition. The buyer of any Z8 should anticipate losing value in the near term if they intend to drive the car. Just look at all the Z8s currently for sale.
