I also have set of gauges to replace (in the dash) the generator, oil, and temp idiot lights.\r\n\r\n2. gas gauge sort of works - intended fix while replacing the idiot lights.\r\n\r\n3. tailgate does open \r\n\r\n4. Car has original black plates - the car (per the VIN) was built in California and as far as I know has always been here. NO rust anywhere - so it appears to have been always garaged.\r\n\r\n5. It is a factory Munci M22 4 speed. I had tranny and clutch looked at by trns shop after purchase. tranny (rock crusher) is strong as is the clutch.\r\n\r\n6. Original paint was red - per the pickup bed - appears original. No rust under the rubber mat in rear. \r\n\r\n7. Drum brakes all around - yes it stops - you just have to be strong - remember it is not power assist. This and gauges were my only additional items I was going to do to the car - I have had it for 5 years - always garaged - its never seen the rain!\r\n\r\n8. I agree about new rims --- !!!! but these I think were original - maybe not -\r\n\r\n9.
