The wheels on GTSs differed not in size, just the black center caps that said \"GTS\" instead of the DeTomaso logo, which was also changed in the shift knob.\r\n\r\nThe most surprising thing on this car is that it still has the original exhaust system from header to chrome tips that were added to GTSs. My exhaust manifolds pitted at the welds decades ago. I went with the Ansa Euro GTS system (header and muffler) and had to have the tips straightened to clear the bumper making them look like the OE mufflers but with the gussets added to the Euro pipes. I did not transfer the chrome tips exclusive to GTSs, but kept them in storage with everything else I've replaced on the car.\r\n\r\nOne general comment about GTSs, there is NO mechanical difference between them and L models despite a lot of crazy stuff I've heard over the years. Ford had planned upgrades to them, but with the gas crunch, Fed Regs, and fights with Alejandro, they ditched them and only made cosmetic changes.\r\n\r\nIf anyone has questions about GTSs, I'm happy to help as much as I can. It is not concourse, but fairly stock. For any prospective Pantera buyers this is a pretty good car being one of the last ones (7000 series) that Ford was involved in to compare all of the updates or changes with earlier cars and to compare what you may like or dislike before a 71-74 Pantera purchase. L bumpers are obviously the first visual on later cars (that can be changed). You can also see the external fuel filler, raised engine screen, the right hand engine cover with the coolant tank hole, single pod dash with its host of slightly different switches, later console with inset shift gate, solid back seats. You can see the engine bay with no black crinkle under coat like earlier cars have and the visible factory spot welds that are supposed to be present on these cars. The underside is also showing the correct coating.
