Titanium package gives the shadow-chrome window and front grill trim, and the special titanium package shadowchrome factory wheels... a very desirable look. \r\n\r\nThis example has the RNS-E factory nav system, which was pretty epic in 2007 because it played MP3 files directly off of 2 SD cards located behind the LCD screen. This car's RNS-E unit is original to the car [not a retrofit] because the instrument cluster has color DIS [instead of monochrome red]\r\n\r\nI am the original owner of a 2007 A4 TQM Avant, and remember the factory ordering process. After 11 years of ownership and 110,000 miles, I just upgraded mine to stage 2+ last summer. These cars are fantastic to drive, fantastically practical, and I can confirm that they are winter monsters. I live in rural North Dakota, where we regularly see -30F wind chills, sometimes see -30F temps, and often see snow drifts in our driveway several feet deep. My A4 won't plow through the deep snow - and this one won't either, since, IIRC, S-Line package has the same option 1BE Sport lowering Springs that I ordered mine with. \r\n\r\nThat said, as long as the snow isn't too deep and firm [deep enough and firm enough to high center the vehicle], these things are an absolute blast in the winter. \r\n\r\nI am stunned at the low mileage of this car. This is a very desirable example of a very desirable car; Audi has not sold ANY station wagon with a manual transmission in the USA since A4 MY 2008, the last year of the B7 body style. The B7 A4 also carries a full size spare tire, which is becoming a rarity for German cars.\r\n\r\nWhomever gets this car will enjoy it very much. I plan to keep my A4 forever. \r\n\r\nPS: I really dislike the look of a front mount intercooler on this car; the IC pipes and clamps show through the foglight grills; it looks a bit like a modified Civic. The factory IC setup is dual-SMICs, which actually go behind the fog light grills. Evolution Racewerks sells a dual SMIC setup that goes into the factory location and looks factory, but supports far beyond the Stage 3 power level of this car. The 3R dual SMIC setup is what I had installed on my Stage 2+ build, and they are fantastic, and you can't tell they are there from the outside. Well, the naysayers we\u2019re right. Loved the car but wow, the next two years of ownership just bled me dry. At the end, the timing belt, (chain?) gave out 10k BEFORE factory recommended replacement and being an interference motor it trashed a valve and wrecked the head. After paying thru the nose for that fix I couldn\u2019t take it any more and sold her for a loss. Since my track car is a Subaru Legacy GT wagon and I know the platform in and out, I decided to jump back to Suby for my daily as well and was lucky enough to find an immaculate \u201808 Outback XT 5speed that I\u2019ve bumped to stage 2 (270 HP to the wheels). I do miss some of the German aspects that my B7 exhibited compared to the Outback but wow, when something goes wrong on a European car, it sure costs a pretty penny. I have a 2006 b7 avant with the 6 speed and it is fun to drive. Mine is stock with the exception of an aftermarket exhaust and cosmetic upgrades, and has kept up well in New England weather. Low maintenance car, just change your gear oil and dont a use it. The cam follower and timing chain are the biggest concerns. Cam follower is cheap, and can be replaced every third /fourth oil change, but that timing chain should be changed due to the age, and I also suspect that with these performance upgrades, and requiring a new clutch, that someone had some fun, so just another reason to factor-in this repair, $500 for a DIY and up to $2k depending on the repair shop.\r\n\r\nThe reason that I have an aftermarket exhaust is that the OEM exhaust rusted through, and being in New England where this Avant spent some time, the undercarriage should be looked at.\r\n\r\nThe rain does come in back, so check the taillights for water entering the housings, and also the rain water puddles below the spare tire, so you must remove the spare tire in order to check for water damage...but, there are no gadgets or electronics in the spare tire area that can be destroyed.\r\n\r\nGreat fun car for someone.", "likes": 4, "timestamp": 1546480286, "type": "comment"}, {"id": 2833128, "authorName": "HenryB7", "authorUrl": "https://bringatrailer.com/member/henryb7/", "bidAmount": 0, "content": "Absolute unicorn.
