One of them is a 2BBL 350/TH400, the other a 4BBL 455/TH400. The amazing thing about the mid to late 60's Oldsmobiles is the build quality. These were not made with planned obsolescence in mind. Even after years of sitting on the dirt in what basically amounted to a forest, both of them have very little rust and rot with doors that shut with a solid \"thunk\" and manual windows that still roll up and down quite easily.\r\n\r\nThis is an awesome car up for auction, and I honestly prefer the body lines of this B body compared to its Impala cousin, especially the scalloped edges around the quarter window. My Grandfather was an Oldsmobile Man, and a silver \u201968 Delmont hardtop sedan was his last car. When he gave up driving in 1974, it passed to my family, and, sort of, to me. I was happy to get more access to wheels, but it was not my choice for a first car. \r\n\r\nOne afternoon, while driving said Delmont, I was T-boned right in the non-existent left side B-pillar by a full sized car that ran a stop sign at 30 MPH. I had some bruising and there was a little blood, but it was no big deal. The left side and doors were totaled, but the car ran straight and true for the few months necessary to resolve the insurance claim.
