I always said the car and heat in the summer and air conditioning in the winter. The heater worked about as well as an almost-dead hamster breathing on your ankle. It was so cold inside in the winter that I would wear a parka, hat, mittens, and a lap robe when I drove two hours to visit my parents. I investigated why the heater was so weak - turns out the fins in the heater box didn't actually touch the pipes. But I miss it every day. I have no idea why the Webers were removed. It currently has Strombergs which I had installed, but the car came to me with SU carbs. I had a fuel pump and fuel line issue, so instead of rebuilding the SUs, I had my mechanic swap them out for a set of Strombergs that I had recently removed from my Jensen-Healey when I upgraded to Dellortos (BTW, the JH will be on BaT at some point in the near future). Also, that is NOT rust on the steering wheel. That is brown paint that someone added in the past. There is no rust on the wheel or on any interior parts. I hope this helps. Like most most small British car manufacturers from the '60-'80's TVR's usually do not bring top $ for what they are. They seem to be grouped into the same value class as MG's, TR's and Healeys of the same era. TVR's are quirky and sometimes suspect build quality but they are a class above these cars when it comes to driving and the feeling you get in your seat.
