In a pinch a 331 Caddy or even an early Olds but the first three are the best. And a clutch. If, by ant chance you're building a long distance highway cruiser, many do want that, a/c should added. That beautiful 32 style gas tank belongs there but it, for a car driven often in normal traffic, it should be a decoration with a real tank hidden at a safe distance forward. Ford had that problem all the way into the 70's with the Pinto.\r\nFor normal hot rod use, this is as close to perfect one will probably ever find, at least one that is for sale. In answer to your question, all the gauges work but the speedo reads a litle slow - about 15%.\r\n\r\n@werthie The steering column is tight. At the frame end it's attached solidly to the F-1 steering box which is bolted to the frame. The column drop attaches (near the steering wheel) firmly to the dashboard. The body is mounted to the frame via traditonal wooden blocks so there may be a little flex there but it's unnoticeable when driving. I also noted that it seems a little shaky in the video but the road wasn't smooth and I just tested its rigidity and it's solid as a rock.\r\n\r\n@McLovin Thank you so much for your comments; they are so on the money.
