All I know is that my first order of business was to unceremoniously blow the doors off my wealthier friend and his brand new 1978 Trans Am. While he was still catching up to me, I did note however a tremendous shuttering of the front end and also steam emanating from under the hood. It turned out I had easily won the race even with a bent wheel and a leaking radiator. So I replaced the stock 14 inch steel wheels and hub caps with a nice set of 15x8 Hurricane Mag wheels shod with G60-15 RLW tires all around which nicely filled the wheel wells and noticeably upped the handling and looked really sharp. Later, I also did update the induction to a Holley 780 CFM which by my butt-dyno clearly took things up a notch. Mine was never as well presented as the current GTX. I envy the winner of this auction.
