I'd prefer the (un)cool factor of the 348, but to actually own and drive, this is the mid-engined Ferrari I'd choose. If I'm not mistaken the 360 was the first Ferrari designed with FEA to make the structure as rigid and light as possible. You can see photographs of 360's attacking real-world corners at speed and the amount of articulation from the suspension shows just how rigid the chassis is. The F430 might have raised the bar, but it isn't aging nearly as well as the 360. \r\n\r\nAlso for those afraid of the engine-out service, Ferrari finally wised up to the fact that the timing belt was in the firewall. Fixing an F1 type box could prove both costly and, possibly, difficult if Ferrari makes parts availability an issue. Michael Sheehan made comments of that nature in a recent article in Forza, to paraphrase - \"good luck getting one of these modern high-tech machines serviced in a few years... you need Leonardo and the training... and the parts\" (sorry Michael if I am not 100% accurate, but I think the gist is right on target).\r\n\r\nThe 360 is no where nearly as complex, but still advanced. \r\n\r\nThe engines in these things are akin to that of a super bike. You can feel - and hear - the cam come on. It's amazing when these engines spin up to about 8k... it's the Italian version of a Rolex... precision beyond words. I had a 1994 Prelude VTEC. If you have driven a VTEC Prelude, the engine dynamics are strangely similar... the Ferrari is more of it all, but the VTEC does spin and come on cam in much the same manner. \r\n\r\nAnd I love the blue/tan combo. So nice, not tacky. \r\n\r\nI can only dream....\r\n\r\nI am lucky enough to have a yellow C6 Corvette to drive home, so I am not totally without!! Oh, and it's a 6spd manual!
