It was chassis no 005, the 5th of the ten built (s/n 001-010) and the car now resides in the Abarth Museum in Japan.\r\n\r\nI did extensive research on this vehicle and in doing so, learned many things about Carlo Abarth, Dusio and his business in Italy and Argentina. Dusio did not leave Italy, he fled Italy to avoid a lengthy confinement in prison for his shady business dealings. He only returned to Italy after receiving a pardon. His return to Italy was strictly for racing and he then returned to Argentina and remained there until his death in 1975.\r\n\r\nDusio produced many different cars in Argentina under the name of Cisitalia Argentina J.C.S.A. He also imported a variety of Abarths from Carlo Abarth in what is called \u201cKD\u201d or knocked down format. Usually this meant, the car was essentially 90 percent complete, strapped to a shipping pallet with the wheels off and engine crated. Any Abarth badge or name on this car has been placed there after the fact. I think that Abarth would have had such an agreement with Dusio for his name to not appear on any car that was provided to Dusio to be sold as Cisitalia. It would have very much been to Dusio's advantage to do so. People seem keen to label the Cisitalias as Abarths because the name is more prestigious (compared to later Cisitalias) and fetch more money. The upgrades in carb, intake, distributor, steering, side tensioning leafspring; these are all mods fot driving passionately.\r\nRims are a chapter appart, who in his sane judge would drive this car that surely does 185km/h with old rims!!
