My car is 17 years old and hasn't had this done. \r\n\r\nCam wear is a hotly debated subject, pre-2007 6.75s have flat tappets, and may have wear issues due to insufficient zinc in modern oils. There are special high zinc oils (Amsoil Z-Rod for instance) or zinc additives that may prevent this. I've heard some cars had manufacturing issues related to the cam, but in trying to get a straight answer for the past 5 or so years, never found anything definitive. Arnages don\u2019t have issues with the vacuum lines. The GT/Flying Spur before 2007 did. Arnage 2000-2006 head gaskets are an issue. How often it occurs is debated but it\u2019s very well documented as an issue. Camshaft issues I\u2019ve seen on 05 and 06 cars. Not quite as common but it\u2019s a big issue to fix and for a while it was documented that replacements were an issue. I believe everything is available again. Buy the best you can buy and enjoy the ride. Not necessarily something to scare you away but remember these are $250,000+ cars that can now be bought for a fraction. You\u2019ll always be servicing a car that\u2019s $250k even when you can buy it for $20k. They\u2019re expensive to fix but if you\u2019ve ever had a boat this is a much cheaper hobby. This seller has posted the receipts so it gives an idea of the amount of service. Most of that stuff will eventually have to be done again. These cars aren\u2019t getting any younger. As I mention, where these cars really shine is \"passing power\" at highway speeds. \r\nThe magic is, with the weight of the car, nothing ever feels rushed. Also, every 6 years (the 14hr service) you get new brake hoses and brake caliper rebuild. Of course that\u2019s a good idea as rubber components fail with age, but it\u2019s surely not absolutely necessary.
