Got in contact with the company in England and order the Ash wood. But then all the rubber looked bad so that was next. Then the chrome needed to all be replace. Was looking on eBay in the UK and found an Englishman who lived in France next to Italy where he gets his leather. Had him do the entire interior. After that it was the car was apart replace all the wires and everything else that was on it. The hardest part was finding the rear door hinges for they somehow got misplace when we took them off. I actually have only seen 1 other 2 tone Morris that I liked and one day when the Morris was all yellow I looked at a Fiat 500 that was parked next to it and thought wow that green would be perfect for the rims. Well you do the rims then you feel like a little more needs to be done and before you know it another $1000 in paint just left your account. The roof over the ash frame is a separate piece from the front steel roof, and it should be aluminum, nailed into the ash, then an aluminum gutter is put around that to finish. This Traveller has all the hard work done so someone will get a very fun car. We had loads in the 60's and 70's as we had a garage and they were a popular family car here. I recall the early ones with flag indicators that came out of the vertical pillar between the front and rear seats. I suspect the year earlier had them but I'm no expert. \r\n\r\nI certainly remember the hand crank above the front number plate and having to use it to get the car going. \r\n\r\nI can't recall ever seeing a two tone scheme like in the picture, but that green certainly looked familiar. I'm not a purist and think it looks good in the different colours. \r\n\r\nOne piece of trivia is that the Moggie Minor was originally designed to have a flat 4 engine but later on this was changed to a traditional vertical four cylinder. This is why there is so much space either side of the engine. You can fit significantly bigger engines in there. There was a spate of people putting in bigger engines in the 70's on the rather small custom car scheme. Not sure I would do, as they were not the strongest of cars.\r\n\r\nTwo friends daughters have used them as wedding cars at their weddings. They are now very cool, very British, very retro. However as people have already said, 70mph is unlikely, unless you drop it out of a high flying aircraft and even then, I suspect the shape would act as a parachute.
