It should either be all cloth, or armored if a more sporting look was wanted. The fuse box should have a bakelite cover, easily found and replaced. The speedo looks to have been replaced. As with the clock on the near side of the speedo, all the instruments should say \"SS\" for Swallow Sidecars. Faces are easily changed to correct with a bit of legwork. Speedograph Richfield in the UK may be able to do it, otherwise there are others. Some photos of the underside would be helpful, including the Hartford shocks. Beautiful car. But that company had ceased to exist and had became Swallow Coachbuilding. As I had mentioned earlier, I friend has a 1930 Standard Swallow Sports Coupe, the Standard referring to where the engine came from and who supplied the chassis. Prewar cars are, I think a bit of mystery to many who are only familiar with postwar cars or cars that came from the long tradition of the coach built cars. While today we might call them hybrids, using different engines was common. That later chain gain Fraser-Nashs(one of my bucket list cars) came with a variety of engines, though the Gough was initially considered unreliable due to the water cooled big ends, they are now highly desirable. In any event it is great to see the interest in prewar cars. It was a period of arguably much more experimentation than what came later. Sleeve valves, Perrot braking assist, preselector gearboxes, monobloc engines, centrally controlled chassis lubrication, it was heady period.
