It shows signs of life in a damp climate, e.g. the corrosion on the dash bright work.These frames do rust. The outriggers on the later cars in particular can disintegrate. \r\n\r\nIt would also be good to know the cooling system status. Is the electric fan a booster? Is the radiator original? They are marginal in those respects. There are very good (but expensive) replacement radiators available. \r\n\r\nAnd additional questions is the steering. The stock system was a weak point and over time they develop play and friction. A common mod is rack and pinion (essentially a modified Triumph system). Mine that have had stock systems have all been pretty unsatisfactory even on pretty pristine cars. The rack and pinion mod is a game changer.\r\n\r\nLooks lovely in off-white! One ofi mine had been repainted a refrigerator white and it was off-brand. This is what they should look like. To better understand these cars, look to a triumph TR3 and compare the chassis, suspension, steering, axle, and gearbox.. ..which have a LOT of similarities.. the major difference underneath is dunlop 4 wheel disc brakes (same as Jaguars of same period and the MGA twin cam/deluxe) and the unique hemi V8 engine.. which is its crowning grace.. and an unmistakable body design..
