It retains the trunnions (as opposed to shackles) for the rear leaf springs but adds \"traction bar\" type links (I don't see a panhard rod, which would be a worthwhile addition) and coil-over telescopic shocks to a non-Morgan \"banjo\" rear axle. Maybe the seller can tell us how the resulting stiffer rear suspension feels. \r\n\r\nThere are some welcome upgrades: disc brakes (not introduced on Morgans until years later; odd that the setup retains the single hydraulic circuit), the tie rod ends are the modern ball-joint type, reinforcing gussets have been added to the frame at the rear corners of the engine bay, a more modern heater has been fitted, and the cylinder head is from a TR3. These wheels are far stronger than the original steel wheels, which were known to crack around the bolt holes. This little car bears evidence of several enthusiastic owners that have vigorously used and modified this car to suit their taste and use. Be that competition or just aggressive driving it, has a number of period and later modification to upgrade or improve it. Some apparently done by the owner or local mechanics who may not have followed the latest in best practices. No garage queen, this Moggie bears all the scars of its long history. Now, some additional questions. The long list of repairs back in 2012 suggest that the car was modified to accept chrome wire wheels, then at some later time those were replaced by the Minilite style wheels, are these wheels on a Triumph bolt pattern or the original 4x30 similar to VW of the era. Were adapters used with the disc brake conversion such that the wheels are now protruding beyond the fender line? Is the re-body an attempt to salute the pre-war TT Special? The TT had a sloped rear panel and surface mounted spare.\r\nObviously most of the aluminum panels were added later as were the rear axle \"traction\" bars. They appear to have been modified in use through necessity rather than craft.\r\nThis is an interesting car with many useful upgrades, hopefully it will find an appreciative new owner that will continue to use and enjoy it.
