If you find a GS with the Sport Suspension option then it will be the same height and travel as a GSA. I'm not sure if that option was limited to Rallye versions though. You could put GSA shocks on a regular GS but then you'd also have to lengthen the centerstand and sidestand which isn't a big deal if you know someone who can weld. As for putting a GSA gas tank on a regular GS - I think by the time you sourced the tank and different body parts you'd be better off just buying a GSA. I have a Rallye (so no big tank) and just carry a 1 gal gas bag with me in case I need longer range. The dirt road is the Housatonic River Road in West Cornwall / Cornwall , Connecticut. The covered bridge is in W. Cornwall. My ride for the video was the only time this bike ever saw dirt. The owner has a different bike for dirt so the GS was strictly a road bike. I had ridden this bike years ago when my friend and I swapped bikes but I was surprised at just how much power it has. I was told the upper protection on the GSA is due to the wider tank it is required in Europe to prevent damage which may cause a gas spill. I prefer the standard for a few reasons. The GSA version is much heavier and if the gas tank is full it's really heavy with the weight up high. The standard version has plenty of gas capacity. If you will be riding your GS where there are no gas stations for hundreds & hundreds of miles then go for the GSA. The Vario top case also adds more weight in the worst place. I had one on my GS and sold it because I could feel the weight on every curve. Again, there are advantages and disadvantages to wheels with spokes. This bike was strictly a road machine so the lighter wheels are appropriate. But others may prefer the GSA. That's OK. The GS in this auction does have BMW cylinder guards installed (photos #126 to #132 show them clearly). It also has a long list of optional equipment and many more accessories. The GPS, the two extra windshields, the tank bag, and the extra seats come to mind. I just traded my 2020 R1250GS into the dealer. It had the \u2018Exclusive\u2019 package but otherwise equipped similar, including the usual aftermarket farkles, and less miles (14K), and I was given $12K for it.
