Many of the \"new production\" cars are built on later Fiat 500 European specification chassis, so that only confuses things.\r\nWith that in mind, I know of other much rarer low production Ghia cars that experts can't say if 50, or 500, were made, that all have very low survival rates. And I know of other coach built cars that had very low production figures, would be almost impossible to do a new production of, but still many survive.\r\nThe thing about Jollys are that they are so cute, and so small, that it's almost impossible that anyone would consider retiring it. So unless a car is crashed or rusts away too much, most of the production still survives.\r\n@StevenOrlando can give you a better idea of how many there are just by letting you in on his registry numbers. Keep in mind that so many people who have one will not register their car, because they are now so valuable. But it's well known that many big car collectors want at least one Jolly in their collection, and almost every big auction week has at least one offered.\r\n\r\nJust one more tidbit. My late wife, who was an automotive journalist, got to know the man who ran the Ghia operation in the late 1950 and early 1960s. One time when I was in Italy I had lunch with him, and asked him about production figures.\r\nHe paused for a moment, then told me that Ghia kept no record of how many cars they made! The Italian tax man would come in to see what they had, and tax on that amount. And the records showed only a few more than what was on the factory floor.\r\n\r\nOK, one more. The USA cars were mostly imported by Roosevelt Motors. They had records.
