A picture of the car\u2019s option code sticker (including the interior color code, \u2018QT\u2019) is included in the pictures, and the car is equipped exactly as optioned at the factory. \n\nThere is a restoration company that sells interior materials, one of their colors is Raseberry #959, for use in early \u201890s 911s. The swatch looks like light gray. Perhaps the repair person felt that was the best color match, but misspelled the color on the receipt? No idea. I can only assume that Pink Pearl was the descriptor for the supplier\u2019s version of light gray leather. \n\nAll moot at this point anyway, the driver\u2019s seat lateral bolster (a common wear spot on any 928) was professionally repaired in February 2015. As far as the engine internals goes, it was stripped down to the long block. The cam lobes and cam chain pads were inspected and were in good shape, the rear cam galley pins were upgraded to GTS-style pins. We pulled the rod caps on pistons 2 & 6 to look at the rod bearings, all 4 shells mic\u2019d at 0.0586\u201d, indistinguishable from new, so they went back in. We decided that there was no upside to going any further into the longblock at that point.\n\nEvery seal and hose in and on the motor was replaced, the cam, crank and oil pump gears got DFL-1 coated, the tensioner was rebuilt with new seals and rollers, the intake and valve covers were chemically stripped, powdercoated and meticulously cleaned before assembly.
