Also, in pictures 94 and 95 of the door jambs, the color looks to be very close. They do not have the bright studio lighting on them.\nIt appears that most of the updated chassis parts are from Chassis Engineering; front brakes, bolt-on steering arms, split wishbone kit, trans mount, rear parallel spring kit, sway bars, etc. They manufacture good quality parts that have been used years.\nJust for clarification, the bumpers, bumper guards, bumper irons, hood hinges and springs, steering wheel and inside rear view mirror are reproduction items. The outside rear view mirrors are from So-Cal Speed Shop. The taillights are LED units.\nThis is a hot rod and as such can be built any way the builder/owner desires. The dashboard is not two-toned as original. My preference would have been that it was painted as original. If so, the tan of the interior runs into the Rose Sand Metallic recessed areas of the dash that includes the ash trays, radio speaker grille and the four knobs. \nSomeone mentioned the trunk lid and the insulating material seen in the holes. The lid is made of two pieces with a spot welded edge. During manufacturing the material was placed between the two pieces prior to welding. It's very hard to replace the material without taking apart the trunk lid. \nI've said it before but I will again. I don't think that there is a better looking old Ford than a '40 Coupe. As was said, it does not extend thru the roof as it would have originally. It appears that it was cut off or shortened. Originally the antenna started below the dash with the connection to the radio by way of a cable, then up thru the dash, thru the back side of the rear view mirror and extended thru the roof and the rubber grommet. If someone wanted to remove the remaining part there is a plug available to fill the hole in the dash. Usually when a block off plate is used in the radio opening a plug is installed in the antenna hole. My Cloud Mist Gray '40 still has the stock radio and antenna. I have another '40 Coupe, black, that I bought over 20 years ago. It was a solid car but had a few needs. The original radio was gone but the antenna remained. I ended up removing the dash, having the radio opening and antenna opening filled and then repainted in original colors. The speaker grille remains as does all other features. I had the hole in the roof filled and repainted the roof along with some other areas. If I was a high-tech guy I would figure out how to attach a pic to show you.
