I always found that odd. My old 98 LS400 and my current 98 GS400 feel like different cars (as they should). The GS400 is quick and responsive, and while the LS400 was no slouch, it's tuned to be a bit more leisurely. Compared to my 92 SC400, both the LS and GS are rocketships. A black 1997 SC300 that was specially ordered with a factory 5 speed manual.
