Some models had all this in light blue/gray colour. It seems like the instrument cluster was sourced from a later model (black) and it lacks the plastic cover over the steering column that also covers the gearshift rod that you can see here, you can notice the empty space between the left of the steering column and the lower side of the cluster, where you can notice a switch (usually for the instrument panel light).\r\nSome older Millecentos had parts from newer Millecentos, it was easy to do so because all the parts fitted, almost all they were add on mods from the factory so no need to modify the older car and they were easily reversible, restoring the original appearance.\r\nWhen I was a boy there were always many Millecentos in the junkyards and parts could be got for very little money, even whole parts cars, nowadays things have changed and, for instance, once I asked for a light switch, like the ones (4) you can see on the Millecentos dash and I was asked a princely sum for it, the seller said that those switchs were the same as used on period Ferraris. Of course the seller still has them. \r\nI'd personally paint all the car white, as it came from factory, that green tone over the \"sculptured\" side sheet metal adds nothing to the otherwise austere Millecento panels, looks like trying to highlight something.\r\nThe engine bay looks clean and well, as the rest of the car\r\nIt seems that this car had care, love and money put on it.\r\nI love all Millecentos, the older the better. I have looked at all of the 103 series cars in my collection, and if my memory is any good, I have never seen a speedometer housing of any color other than black. Other interior \"plastic\" parts yes... I could look it up in the appropriate parts book if needed, but every car I have of this vintage is black.\r\nPossibly other colors were an option?\r\n2. It's probably just a typo, but the wheel bolts are 19 mm. Only the air cooled 500s use 17 mm.\r\n3. The chrome toggle, round wire connector, switches are really used on Ferraris of the same vintage. I recently had a restorer buy every switch I had, without concerns for the price. Problem is when I go to restock them, the Italians also know what they fit, and charge accordingly.\r\nYears ago we used to toss them on the table at our booth at Concourso Italiano, and usually sold out in an hour, or less.\r\n\r\nThaddeus_P,\r\nGeneral parts availability for 103 series cars is not that bad. But keep in mind that some items, like the switches, are also used on cars worth a lot more money than the old Fiat. Unfortunately they can be priced accordingly.\r\nBut generally it's not that bad for new parts, and used parts, from minor trim to major components, can often be easily located.
