The roof is completely out of sight when it\u2019s stowed. You pop the hatch up, fold the roof into that compartment and shut the hatch back on top. I don\u2019t know the details, I just know most jdm car owners in CA decide to register their cars in another state. There are several known loopholes for this, but I don\u2019t know specifics. No leaks from the roof, we've had several strong storms and it's not gotten wet at all inside, nor did I see any condensation in it afterwards. It also sports a relatively new top, so that likely helps. Paint is in really good shape, no signs or rust or blistering in it. Some minor oxidation on the rear bumper as can be seen in picture 40 due to it having a little scuff there.
