The T-4 transmission is garbage, but the Dana 300 transfer case is solid and had a short tail housing in the 1980 model year. Orange with similar striping. Soft top, soft doors. It came factory with a 304 V8 and a three speed manual on the floor. No lock out hubs. Otherwise, completely bare bones. No rugs, no radio, no roll bar padding, no chrome - white spoke wheels and body colored grill.\r\n\r\nI thought the difference between the 5 and 7 was wheelbase, and the back door. CJ5 have no back door.\r\n\r\nGreat Jeep here. They used a gm and an amc 4cyl. Carbs were on different sides. I can't recall which was which right now. \r\n Transmission (if 4sp as indicated) should be a T4 or SR4. T4 has reverse in the conventional location. SR4 has it up and to the left of 1st. Good news is both bolted up to a D-300 t-case. \r\n Good luck with the auction. I drove it first before even paying attention to the motor. I knew it was a inline but didn't think it was a 4cyl. The power and a gear ratio work well. Its not a turd by any means. Once I lifted the hood I was like wow a I4. I never seen one, and to have so many options is just rare. \r\n\r\nThe jeep starts every-time on the first try. From what I've been able to gather it was the dealer demo to show off all the options. This guy traded in his 77 Blazer for it and has had it since then. It was giving to the siblings in 2016. Once i acquired it I was pulling all the old tools and trash out of it.
