He built it in about 1978. It have the softer Road and Track cam and 998 pistons, 29mm smoothbores, etc. It now has over 80K miles on it and the head has not been off since he first build the engine at about 4K. Runs like a charm although the performance benefit really is only apparent above about 7000 rpm. I highly recommend Conti Classic Attack radials on these bikes for those who need to replace tires. The are an impressive improvement in the bikes handling feel.
