To the best of our knowledge, this 929 was bought new in San Diego, CA by Mary C. Brown right off the showroom floor. Mary is now 99 years old. Based on the documentation we received with the car, the parking sticker in the windshield and in speaking with her daughter, it appears Mary used the car to drive back and forth to her job just a few miles away from her home in San Diego. We fell in love with it as soon as we saw it. It was clear that Mary took very good care of the car. The day we bought it, we drove it straight back 150 miles to Palm Springs with no problems. Since that time we have driven it around town and also taken it on a 250 mile round trip to the Japanese Classic Car Show in Anaheim last October. The 929 drives like a dream\u2014smooth, quiet and plenty of pep! Everything works as it should and the A/C is meat-locker cold! The oscillating A/C vents work flawlessly. As you can see the car has a digital instrument cluster that was a rare factory option. It doesn't get more 80's than that! We would love to hang on to her, but just way too many toys in the toybox.
