He expects the rear end is also original as GM put some 12 bolts in 69 Buicks. According to the body tag, it was built in Flint. Some people have commented that ones built in Canada had 12 bolts, and that would be indicated on the cowl. In my research I cannot confirm that statement is correct. Both the owner and the consigning dealer acknowledge that we cannot 100% conclude that all the components are original to the vehicle. Based on the attached pictures and the stampings it does appear that they may be correct components for a 69 GS 400. I guess it will be up the the actual bidders to determine their comfort level with what they are buying.
