These cars drive well and are fun! @JohnF1966 the doors don\u2019t shouldn\u2019t be painted, I think you\u2019re just seeing the smooth vinyl/leatherette. \r\n\r\nIt\u2019s too bad the original radio is gone, I wonder is it included in the sale? It really adds to the originality. Does the cruise control work currently? These have little rubber stoppers in the brake and clutch pedals that dry out and crumble making the cruise control not function (common problem apparently) but if that\u2019s the problem it\u2019s an easy fix. I fixed mine with a spare bolt and washer until I order the right part. \r\n\r\nAlso worth noting is that there doesn\u2019t seem to be a lot of third party support unfortunately compared to other cars in my experience. Both my 81 Ford F-250 and 55 Crown Victoria have wayyyyy more support but lucky these cars seem pretty sturdy. All this needs is the front valance panel sandblasted, straightened and painted plus the lower passenger door repaired and painted. I WOULD NOT PAINT THE ENTIRE CAR. Next detail it to the NTH degree. This color is easy to touch up tiny nicks. Use a cleaner wax and go over all the jams. Silicone every rubber seal about 3 coats. And lightly buff the exterior with Meguiars Cleaner wax using foam polishing pads . If you haven't used a 8inch rotary buffer this isn't a car to practice on. Practice on a car that is getting painted. Then use engine degreaser on the engine compartment and a hose to wash it. Then detail the engine compartment and a 7 car turns into a 9. Check the water in the vacuum and see how much dirt you got out.
