All of the W-Machines had painted stripes from the factory, and they were not perfect, these look original to me. The pedals appear to be dirty and not worn as a high mileage car would. I believe the seller that the mileage is about right jut knowing how harsh the climate and salting the roads and winter would have eaten up this car. The look of the interior, dash, carpet and the rubber weather striping look like low mileage to me. The bumpers are not perfect but they are very clean for an Ohio car. When I lived in Detroit, I purchased about 5 1970's Cutlasses in the mid 80's. If this car had high mileage the undercarriage would be coated in rust even if the car was undercoated like this on was. The heater and windshield controls look new and so does the steering wheel. One indicator of a high mileage Olds of this vintage is that the rear bumper would be rusted through and the turn indicator lenses at the lower front bumpers would be brown from rust since the metal light bulb holder would be rusted through. I would definitely take the time to try and find the partial vin number on the transmission, typically at the back as I suggested but can sometimes also be found in the bellhousing area. The rear axle code is typically on the passenger side front of the axle tube approximately 3 inches away from where the tube enters the carrier. Confirming the motor, ( which I believe is the original block) transmission, and rear axle are all original to a car with this low of miles will certainly make a difference in the final bid numbers. The large main bearing surfaces and poor oiling systems of the 455's, it is quite common to run heavier weight oil in these engines as the suffer from low oil pressure when hot. It is not uncommon for a worn 455 with 20w-50 oil to see HOT (200F) oil pressure as low as 05-10psi at a hot idle and only 30-40 psi at a hot WOT. A thinner weight oil would result in a spun rod or main bearing but even with the thicker oil, it's only buying time before a rebuild is needed.
