Mark IIs hadn't caught on yet and the judging was still be sorted out as more research was done. My father and another devout Mark II collector were behind the authenticity manual for the Mark II. Stan could be quiet but would open up. He was a fine gentleman and we had some good sparring on one occasion. Our car ended up 'on the lawn' the year my father passed which is the year Lincoln Continentals were a featured marque at PB. I wish i had it back. Thx for letting me share.
