Also, the radio is off, and my conclusion is that perhaps there is a simple electrical disconnect problem. I tried to call the Aston Martin garage but they did not wanted to deal with the electronics. Some one told be that there is an out fit in the UK that will refurbish the whole instrument panel for 5000BP. The simplest option, if you do not want to run between 'experts' is to install a Dakota (Digital VFD3-1000-L Universal 4.3\" x 14\" Rectangle Dash Gauge System Kit) which is an exact fit. I guess I\u2019ve become known as \u201cthat Lagonda guy\u201d. These are fun cars. They are reliable and parts are surprisingly cheap and available (for an exotic). I\u2019ve absolutely loved mine. Anybody who wants to see it can find my video by searching YouTube for \u201cHagerty - Why I Drive - Aston Martin Lagonda\u201d. There also a slightly longer video I did called \u201cLagonda Exposed\u201d where I talked a little bit about the technical bits that make it special. My book, \u201cAston Martin Lagonda, Yesterday\u2019s Tomorrow Today\u201d shows a picture of almost every existing example. About 2/3 of the 645 Lagondas are still around. \r\n\r\nPeople really don\u2019t know anything about these cars except some stupidity that was printed in a coffee table book called Crap Cars, which gets repeated over and over everywhere. The reality is that these cars are mechanically identical to any Aston coupe of the era. The only thing that\u2019s different is the instrumentation. As I say in the video, I\u2019m sure it was a very intimidating repair to a 50 year old in 70s or 80s, but if you have problem with it today, there\u2019s a guy in your town who fixes old Pac-Man CRT video games who can fix it. \r\n\r\nThe seller and buyer both did well.
