This car currently has 3.42 rear gears, the increase in the existing tire diameter takes that rear end ratio down to a 3.27, I drove this car twice to Lansing Michigan for the Oldsmobile Homecoming, 3.27 was OK on the Michigan I-96 Expressway. Also take into account the existing width of that 275/60R15 being a lot wider than the G70x 14's this car originally came with, It's a pretty wide tire (approximately 10\"). If you watched the driving video, I took the car from a \"semi\" rolling start up to about 2/3 throttle, the tires started breaking loose, then left a distinctive squawk hitting second gear, not bad for 70,000 miles on an engine with a compression ratio of only 8.5 to one. I would say it has definitely picked up some HP and Torque with the 3- W-30 Improvements, it's somewhere between the original 1971-442 Engine and the 1971 W-30 optional 455. The 455's were a metallic blue, and the 350's were painted gold, other than that, the 442's only came with a 455 in 1970. The other thing to remember is that even though the 455 is a large displacement engine, it is not physically huge looking, especially in a 442 Engine bay, access to plugs and accessories on the 455 Engine was pretty good. It's not the same as looking at the difference between a small block Chevy and a big block Chevy, you can definitely tell the difference on those engines.
