Maybe the seller can further clarify. \n\n1. All M635\u2019s came with M88/3 motors (the M88/1 was the config in the M1). I\u2019ve not seen a VIN decider yet that returns anything other than S38. \n2. The shift knob and side panels appear to be the original buffalo leather with the associated patina that this leather develops over time. The seats look original, but look like they have been recovered as there is no patina. They just look too shiny to be original buffalo hides. \n3. Pics of front passenger side engine compartment appear to show that a US-spec header has been fitted to this car. The euro-spec M88 came with a \u201cbundle of snakes\u201d header which was engineered to provide optimal breathing for the exhaust. The US-spec header is partly responsible for the \u201cdetuning\u201d from 286 to 256hp. Pics of this area are a little dark though, so seller may want to provide a closeup of the header to clarify. \n4. Although some M635\u2019s were not fitted with the fender extensions from the factory, I believe all of those that had the factory upgraded wheels had the extensions. IMHO, the extensions look just right in these cars and it appears naked without them\u2014especially with the BBS wheels. \n5. Fitting a cat to these cars which did not have one from the factory is all but criminal. The wail of the M88 at WOT and above 4000rpm is what this car is all about! When I had a '88 M6 in Denver and instructed club members, the brakes were one of the weak points. It was easy to boil the brake fluid and lose the front brakes. RE: the euro headers - beautiful addition. Make sure you have them ceramic coated before installation. Jet Hot has new colors now and it helps in keeping them whole. The hard part is finding someone to tie the euro header into the rest of the exhaust system. It is getting harder and harder to find shops willing to build out a system. I installed a BB cat back SS exhaust system, and it sounds pretty nice. Not too loud, but very noticeable from the outside that there is something going on with the car. Not a quiet addition for sneaking around the neighborhood. I can't say what to do with the cat section. Dyno results with switching to the Miller MAF conversion, euro evo exhaust cam gear, euro headers and BB exhaust came to 240hp at 5k feet of elevation at the rear wheels. That equates to somewhere between 280 to 290 at the crank - or so I've been told. So it seems to produce power equal to the oem euro cars when finished. But even if they didn't add power, they look oh so cool. I don't know how much each component adds to the bottom line.
