Underside also clean with no major bumps/scrapes/rust and frunk and trunk wells look relatively rust free -- rust-proofing did its job along with prior thoughtful ownership. Missing engine splash guards but this is common. Cracked dash is disappointing given everything else is so strong here -- but the new owner can source another one or possibly repair it. The \u201ccorrosion on underside components\u201d seems to be a BAT thing. There is a little rust on the replacement shocks and one dime size spot under each door from the paint getting worn off. They might be seeing the yellow waxy cosmoline like stuff that is applied to everything underneath. \r\n\r\nI have two BMWs from California that look just like this underneath. The rustproofing helped here, it is oozing out of every opening, as is the extra treatment the factory applied to the Bertone badged cars.\r\nThe respray was a necessity in my opinion. The previous owner stacked every kind of paint can, bug killer, car battery (Ugh!) on top of the little beast, taking finish with it. The worst thing was it was stored with a vinyl car-bra that had reacted to a kind of goo with the top coat. I\u2019ll add pictures of the way I found it on the Marketplace advert.
