But even in my youth this was always my favorite combination of all the MGB derivatives, an MGC GT! It's even better than an MGB-V8 and the triple Webers add to the visuals. Hopefully the engine can make near full use of them. I was first enamored by these, especially with the Webers, when they raced at Sebring and other endurance events. A few decades ago one of the British car magazines (Thoroughbred and Classic Cars?) did an in-depth article on the C/GT and the number of changes made to the engine and front end of the car from the B was impressive. Not a quickie engine swap but a serious re-design. The only problem with this one is that I'd be sorely tempted to do some changes along the lines of the Sebring race cars, and this one is just too nice for that kind of butchery.\r\n\r\nOn the up side, at least this one is in Verona, thereby saving @BAT from having to spell Pittsburgh correctly! I would imagine if you were to add a performance cam shaft to the engine it would REALLY scream! However upon building this car I didn't want to alter the drivability of the C and right now she's extremely enjoyable to drive.. pulls HARD and is built as this car was originally intended.. to be a nice cruiser.. the triple Webers just make it that much more so. The rear hatch opens and closes beautifully however it does have a new gasket and upper seal which causes it to be pushed out slightly until it settles.. certainly no damage to any part of the car or no accidents what so ever.
