You can find those in the gallery, along with a few photos taken at that time, showing the car stripped bare with the glass out. It appears that Dink Farmer\u2019s performed the paintwork as well as much of the reassembly and other restoration work. That work shows some signs of use today, but has held up exceptionally well.\r\n\r\nThe current owner, who has been an involved PCA member for more than twenty years \u2014 and served at least a few as a regional President \u2014 acquired the car a few years after the refurbishment was completed. Since then the car has been driven, and driven often, receiving everything it needed along the way. Beautiful colors, piles of records, real leather interior, seats a dad bod can fit in, seemingly strong mechanicals, and a restoration that's been broken in so you don't throw yourself down a well with the next stone chip. The car is definitely a head-turner\u2026 \r\n\r\nRegarding the Karmann badge, @356mike is correct. And as the Certificate of Authenticity in the listing notes, this is a Reutter Coupe. The Reutter-built cars do tend to be preferred to the Karmann examples, so it\u2019s hard to say why the badge was added years ago. Some things were done to taste, as @LouFifer nicely points out.
