Fortunately this car has it\u2019s EDC intact. EDC gives a wonderful balance between ride and handling. Although the shocks are NLA, they can be rebuilt by Nagangast to as new condition. With new accumulators, it will ride smoother than a normal non EDC 540. It is a step above my E39 530 sport in both ride, braking and handling. The \u201cfloating discs\u201d were the first time this type of separate disc/ hub brakes were used on a production car. At 50,000 miles, mine look factory new. \nIn actuality, these cars are identical to a 3.8 Euro M5 with the only difference being the engine. \nIn daily use, it is easy to live with. No valve adjustments or distributor and decent gas mileage.The 0 to 60 was also almost identical to the 3.8.\n@gnmikhail, the odometer is still in kilometers because the coding plug was not changed when the speedometer was changed, probably during initial entry. The dealer has the proper equipment to order and code it for miles.\nThis is a beautiful car and will make the new owner very happy. These body's of these cars do a great job of concealing rust with the plastic skirts and door moldings, however for the really picky, the places that unseen rust will accumulate is the sills/rockers underneath the plastic skirts, jacking points, door and fender bottoms underneath the bottom moldings and the one of the worst spot is where the rockers, floor and firewall all meet (similar to e30's) which is very hard to find unless you pull the front carpet. The car appears to have some sort of undercoating on it if you look at the pictures of the side skirts there is black overspray on them. Where did this car get imported from? I'm guessing Vancouver by the service records. For those not familiar with the great white North, a west coast car is very different than a Toronto car in terms of rust exposure, I'd imagine any rust on this one is minimal. \r\n\r\nAbsolutely beautiful vehicle in my favourite BMW colour with the rarest options. It\u2019s not too bad ($1-2k depending on extent). I do not have any records of any hood body work or paint work. It does not appear to be painted to my untrained eyes. The color definitely matches. I'm not sure if hoods measure differently or if extra wax on the hood from the detail job could account for difference? While the moldings are off you can treat the bottom of the doors and the inside of the doors with rust preventative like POR-15.
