It was my first car ever and it has brought a lot of excitement to my life\u2026 it has so much character and sentimental value and is in my opinion, so sexy! If cars are people, this 510 is a cool ass person.\r\n\r\nIt\u2019s a perfectly slow, turn key, daily driving, barely molested, restoration-worthy, life-long California, USDM car (meaning manufactured in Japan).\r\n\r\nA rare survivor!!! She has lots of quirks! I admit, I\u2019ve been living with them and not restoring her whatsoever. Just routine maintenance. If you have any interest in this car, please wait for my videos, I should have them done tomorrow. I\u2019ll go into detail on the quirks.\r\n\r\nThere is no rust except for pics 86 and 87. That is literally all that I\u2019m aware of. The wheel wells, floor pans, and undercarriage are, to the restorer, gorgeous. She does have some bondo and will need a little bit more. She was dinged and professionally repaired in the rear left quarter panel (pic 78) early in her life.\r\n\r\nBasically, this is a great resto-candidate that you could still get 50k miles out of first, if you wanted to.\r\n\r\nI\u2019m young but have always driven like a gentleman. I\u2019m anal about heat cycles and economy. Lol. I haven\u2019t been restoring this car, just racking up a few miles every year and making sure all the moving parts stay moving. I\u2019ve made sure she never gets rained on, ever.\r\n\r\nI am making a big change in my life and I\u2019m selling my first love here only because I\u2019ll soon need a daily driver on the east coast, and I cannot bare to put this undercarriage on salt.\r\n\r\nThis 510 is looking forward to the next chapter in its life. It was originally my Dad's and he had modified it to include a gun rack between the front seats so he could use it for hunting. I'll never forget trundling up logging roads on Mt. St. Helens in the snow with a jacked up 4x4 on our tail. Dad got to a wide spot, pulled over and that guy went flying by like a scalded cat. About half a mile up the road he was off in the ditch and Dad gave him a wave as we just kept rolling up the hill.
